The Arizona Special Big Game Tags were created to earn money for wildlife conservation. 100% of the funds collected through ticket sales for each species will be spent on conservation for that species according to Arizona statutes/rules.
No administrative costs will be taken from the Arizona Special Big Game Tag ticket sales. Ticket sales from optional raffles such as an optics package, hunt packages, as well as contributions from sponsors will cover costs for publicity, printing, postage, processing, etc. All the time spent by the Board of Directors organizing and conducting the raffle is being done on a volunteer basis.
Non-residents may enter, however you must be present in the state of Arizona at the time you purchase tickets.

Winners of the Arizona Special Big Game Tags will be required to purchase an AZ hunting license (if they don’t already have one) and complete paperwork that must be submitted within 30 days of winning. Upon meeting these requirements, the AZ Game & Fish Department will issue the hunting tag.
Winners of the other prizes will be provided with instructions specific to their prize. If any prize is subject to federal withholding taxes, those must be paid in order to claim the prize.
The Federal Government requires Conservation First USA to collect withholding taxes from winners of all major prizes with a cost exceeding $5,000. The withholding tax rate is 24% of the cost of the prize. Prizes during the fall 2024 raffle subject to withholding include the Vermejo Premium Bull Elk Hunt in the approximate amount of $6000. All withholding must be paid within 30 days of the drawing or the winner will forfeit the prize.

Yes, with some restrictions. Upon notification of winning a tag, you can request the tag be issued in someone else’s name, however the tag must be issued within 30 days of the raffle drawing. Once the tag is issued, there are only two ways the tag can be transferred per AZ Game & Fish Commission Rule R12-4-121:
Transfer of a hunt would be entirely at the discretion of the guide/outfitter. Winner will need to make those arrangements directly with the outfitter.
Yes, you are required to purchase an AZ hunting license.
You can hunt statewide, with some exceptions . Hunt units for each species are specified in Arizona Game & Fish Commission Order 29. Please refer to our Rules page for more specific information about Commission Order 29 and where you can hunt.
The Season Dates for all Arizona Special Big Game Tags in the 2024-2025 campaign begin on August 15, 2025 and end on August 14, 2026.
Season dates for any incentive or bonus prize hunts that may be offered in addition to the Arizona Big Game Special Tags will be specified in the description for those hunts.
No guide service will be provided for the Arizona Special Big Game Tags. Any incentive or bonus prize hunts that may be offered in addition to the Arizona Special Big Game Tags will specify what, if any, guide service will be included with the prize.
No. Arizona Special Big Game Tags are not governed by yearly or lifetime bag limits.
No. The Arizona Special Big Game Tags are separate from the regular Spring & Fall Draw. Theoretically, you could win an Arizona Special Big Game Tag and be drawn in the regular draw for the same species. If that happened, you could harvest two animals of that species in the same year.
No. The Arizona Special Big Game Tags are separate from the regular Spring & Fall Draw. Your Bonus Points will not be affected by winning a tag in the Arizona Big Game Super Raffle.
